TMCSEA provides audiological services with Joanna Capobianco, Au.D., CCC-A. She works closely with our DHH Itinerant teachers on hearing equipment and management. Member district students may be referred for audiological evaluations by a speech/language pathologist, teacher, parent, or other appropriate staff member. Additionally, students with a history of hearing difficulties are routinely monitored to ensure that hearing loss does not interfere with speech and language development or academic performance. Audiological re-evaluations are tracked, scheduled, and conducted on-site as well.
Dr. Capobianco also provides Central Auditory Processing Disorder evaluations at the request of the district.
