Extended School Year (ESY) is available during summer break. Schramm Educational Center and member district students who are determined eligible for ESY continue working on their current IEP goals. Best practices for determining eligibility for ESY includes completion of the TMCSEA Scale for Assessing Need for Extended-Year Services as part of the student's IEP annual review. Students who attend Schramm's ESY program receive instruction in both their classrooms and the community. Additionally, most students continue to receive their related services for half the time provided during the regular school year.
Our Extended School Year program for the 2025-2026 school year will begin Tuesday, June 2 and run through Tuesday, June 30, 2026. Student hours are from 8:00 am - 11:45 am, no school on Friday, June 19th. Students will receive 1,125 minutes per week of specialized instruction during this ESY program.
